LIMERICK school Ardscoil Rís surrendered their Dean Ryan Cup crown following a 0-22 to 1-14 defeat to St Flannan's in their quarter-final clash in Sixmilebridge on Wednesday.
Ardscoil led by a point at the break with Patrick Kearney scoring 1-4 but faced a serious challenge from the Clare school in the second half and it was Flannan's that earned a deserved win.
Following the game, Ardscoil's Niall Crowe spoke to Leader Sport about the game and that he was proud of the efforts put in by his team.
