WATCH: Night to remember in Limerick village as Liam MacCarthy is welcomed 'home'

HUNDREDS of supporters turned out in Patrickswell on Tuesday evening to welcome home the Limerick hurling heroes.

Following Monday's homecoming in Pery Square in the city centre - which drew an estimated 20,000 people - the Liam MacCarthy Cup kicked off its tour around Limerick's GAA clubs 24 hours later.

As tradition dictates, its first port of call was the captain's home club.

Patrickswell GAA rolled out the red carpet for the hurlers, the home-club of Cian Lynch.
