CITY club Na Piarsaigh is hoping that the young talent coming up through the ranks will be enough to progress the team forward in this year's Irish Wire Products Ltd County Senior Football Championship.
Speaking at the launch of this year's senior championship Na Piarsaigh stalwart Evan Sweeney mentioned that six young players had already made their senior debut since the start of the 2024 season.
"The young lads bring get energy and enthusiasm and that's what the group needs to progress further than the quarter-finals this year. Last year was a great experience being back in senior again and we played most of the top teams apart from Newcastle West and we were very competitive so I think that will help us hugely this year."
Na Piarsaigh take on 2023 intermediate champions Mungret St Paul's in their first round of the championship on Friday, June 28 at 7:30pm at Claughaun GAA Grounds.
