WATCH: Limerick minor football manager John Ryan breaks down their win over Tipperary

LIMERICK'S minor football team earned their first bit of silverware in the Munster Football Championship since 1956 with a 1-9 to 1-6 win over Tipperary on Thursday evening in the phase one final.

The victory for John Ryan's side also sees them into a Munster semi-final against Kerry on Thursday, May 18 at a venue to be confirmed.

Following the win, Ryan spoke on the work put in that helped Limerick to overturn a Tipperary side that beat them in the first round of the championship and the game against Kerry in a week's time.
