IT was a special day for Limerick Camogie on Saturday evening when the Treaty County captured their first All-Ireland U16 title.
Limerick defeated Galway in dramatic fashion when centre half forward Rachael O'Grady sent over a spectacular effort deep in injury time.
O'Grady's match winner was the difference between the sides. Manager Diarmuid Ryan was extremely proud of his sides performances and the way they battled in the second half.
Ryan's daughter Caitlin Ryan lined out in midfield for the victors and the Na Piarsaigh player scored 0-4 from the placed ball.
After the game, Leader Sport caught up with the victorious Limerick U16 Camogie manager.
