Lindsay Lohan has raved about shooting in the Emerald Isle alongside brother Dakota for their new movie Irish Wish.

The pair attended a screening of the movie in New York last night at the Paris Theatre.

In attendance was the Consul General of Ireland, Helena Nolan and dancers from Clan na hÉireann Irish Dance School in New York.

The film debuts on Netflix on Friday, March 15 and was shot in multiple locations across Ireland.

One of the locations was Kilruddery House and Lough Tay in Wicklow as well as Westport Town and the Cliffs of Moher in Co Clare.

Lindsay plays a book editor Maddie, who puts her feelings aside when the love of her life gets engaged to her best friend.

She attends their wedding in Ireland but just as the pair are set to marry, Maddie makes a spontaneous wish for true love and finds herself in an alternate reality.

Lindsay said, "It was incredible. I was so honoured to shoot in Ireland, it was a wonderful experience and they gave us so many beautiful places to film and allowed us to shoot in so many places. I would definitely do it again. I told Dakota we would be filming in Ireland and would you please, please, please be part of it?"

Dakota said: "I was over the moon at the opportunity just to do it. I think Ireland is the most beautiful place I've even been to in the world. The people were kind and it’s so green and open and inviting. We’re half Irish so it made sense and we look  Irish also.
