Broadford United and Newcastle West contested the prized Cois Sionna Credit Union Desmond Cup final at Mick Hanley Park in Askeaton on Friday night.

It was a contest where defences came out on top for the majority of the tie until stoppage time when Adam O'Kelly cut onto his right boot and struck an incredible effort from 18 yards out.

It was a remarkable third success in-a-row to add to Broadford's League Cup victory.
