Limerick representatives impress for Irish junior soccer side
There was plenty of Limerick involvement in Ireland’s Junior soccer international with Northern Ireland
IRELAND saw off Northern Ireland during the week with a 3-0 win and three Limerick players were central to the victory.
Fairview Rangers duo Jake Dillon and Jason Cross, as well as Aisling Annacotty’s Conor Coughlan were in international action.
The trio helped Ireland to a 3-0 win over Northern Ireland in a warm up for the upcoming Regions Tournament in Cork.
There was further Limerick representation in the set up as former Fairview player and manager, Jason Purcell, in charge of the team with fellow ‘View man Stuart Fitzgerald once again assisting him.
The Fairview link was further enhanced by assistant coaches Mike Costello and Greg Foley that were part of Purcell’s backroom team.
