Congratulations to Elizabeth Hayes who came third in the Minor Alliance in New Ross last Monday. Last week's 18-hole competition was won by Margaret O’Riordan with 35 points. Division 1 winner was Mary Hickey with 34 points and Division 2 winner was Rosemary Shanahan with 34 points. Well done Ladies. Tuesday morning’s scramble was won by Jenny Lawrence, Annette Hunt, Kathleen Taylor and Niamh Chadwick. Practice takes place on Thursday Evenings at the driving range at 7.00 pm.

Arravale Rovers

Arravale Rovers GAA Club, Intermediate Hurling County Champions 2026 chose to celebrate their win with golf in Tipperary Golf Club on a beautiful sunny Saturday afternoon of the 18th October. Tipperary Golf Club were delighted to welcome them and share in the celebrations of their big win.

Women's Club

Women's Senior Scramble takes place on Monday mornings. Arrive ready to golf by 10am to register in the clubhouse bar, with the first tee time at 10:30am. Wednesday 21st October will be the 18/9-Hole Christmas Hamper Competition. Sunday 25th October 2026 will be the 18/9-Hole Christmas Hamper Competition.

Wednesday 14th October was an 18-Hole Club Stableford Singles Turkey competition won by Kitty O'Reilly (24) with 38 points, and Yvonne Daly (08) was runner up with 36 points. Yvonne also had the only two recorded on the 7th Hole. The 9-Hole Turkey Singles was won by Ailish Hayes (23) with 20 points.

Sunday 18th October was an 18-Hole Club Stableford Singles Turkey competition won by Yvonne Daly(08) with 31 points, winning on the back 9 countback. Catherine Power(29) was runner up with 31 points. Close behind was Margaret Creamer with 30 points to grasp overall 3rd place. There was one Two recorded on the 7th hole, by Josie Finnan.

Men's Club Singles

Club singles result for Sunday 11/10/26. First place was taken by the Glen of Aherlow man Peter Leonard with 40pts. 2nd was Noel Hennessey on the B9 with 38pts and in third spot was Tom O'Donnell with 35pts.

The gross was taken by Jon Murray with 37pts. Tuesday the 13/10/26 we had Open Singles, Division 1 was won by Eoin Philpott from Clonmel with 37pts on the B9. Division 2 went to David Stapleton with 37pts. Division 3 winner was Matt Kenny with 34pts, the gross went to Sean Long with 35pts on the B9 and Best Visitor was Darragh Hanley from Ballykisteen Golf Club with 37pts.

Men’s Open Singles

Open Singles result for Saturday 17/10/26. Division 1 Winner was James Morgan with 38pts. Division 2 went to John McGrath with 38pts. Division 3 was collected by Pat Flood with 37pts. The gross was won by Sean Long with 36pts and Best Visitor was Keith Sweeney from Doneraile GC with 31pts. Open Singles result for 18/10/26, Division 1 was won by Joe Heelan with 37pts. Division 2 went to William Walshe with 37pts Division 3 was taken by Davy Charles with 40pts, the gross was won by the consistent Niall O'Shea with 33pts.

Lotto

Tipperary Golf Club Lotto contributes to the continuous upgrades and capital projects that happen within the golf club. Jackpot of our latest draw was €14,400. The winning numbers were 9,11 16 & 18. There was no winner. Next week's jackpot will be €14,600. The lucky dips were: Vincent Gilligan, Tom O’Dea, Rickey O’Rawe; Gertrude Gilligan, Peter O’Sullivan (Piltown, online). The promoter's prize went to Margaret Creamer.
