Limerick Senior Football Championship final: All you need to know
It’s county final day in Limerick as the club season domestically comes to an end at adult level.
THERE are just two games left in adult football - at 12 noon the Junior ‘C’ final takes place between Dromcollogher-Broadford and Murroe-Boher but the main event is later in the day: the Irish Wire Products Senior Football Championship final between Fr Caseys and Kildimo-Pallaskenry.
Here’s all you need to know.
The basics: When and where?
The SFC final takes place at Rathkeale’s Mick Neville Park with a 3.30pm throw in.
Is there a curtain-raiser?
Unlike last week’s hurling decider, Sunday’s game is a standalone fixture.
Can I watch the match?
The clash between Fr Caseys and Kildimo-Pallaskenry is being streamed by Limerick GAA TV on StreamSport and will be broadcast on Live95FM.
Who is the referee?
Jonathon Hayes (St Senans) has been given the whistle for this contest.
What’s the form like?
Fr Caseys come into the final boosting a 100% record. For final debutants Kildimo-Pallaskenry, they came third in their group but beat recent champions Adare, Newcastle West and Mungret-St Pauls along the way.
What’s next for the winner?
Of course with Kildimo-Pallaskenry looking for a first ever title and Caseys looking to bridge a 20-year gap, few are looking past Sunday. However, the Limerick champions will be back out on November 22 where they play a Munster SFC semi-final against the winners of Nemo Rangers (Cork) and Loughmore-Castleiney (Tipperary). Should Nemo prevail the game will be at a Cork venue but the Shannonside winners will have home advantage should the clash be against the Tipp side.
