Limerick GAA seek applicants for senior football manager role

Outgoing manager Jimmy Lee told the Limerick Leader that he wants to stay in the role

LIMERICK GAA are seeking expressions of interest for the role of senior football manager.
The county board posted the job advertisement on social media this Sunday morning.
Outgoing manager Jimmy Lee told the Limerick Leader that he wants to stay in the role and his name is in the picture to lead the side for the 2027 season.
Lee’s term officially concluded when the Shannonsiders were knocked out of the Tailteann Cup this summer but the Newcastle West man is keen to remain in charge.
A committee set up to appoint a manager for next year will be chaired by Paddy Mulvihill and include former players Stephen Lavin and Muiris Gavin. County board chairman Seamus McNamara and Gerry Phillips are also on the committee that will review the applicants.
Under the tenure of Lee, the Treaty had Croke Park wins in the 2025 Aliianz Football League Division 4 final against Wexford and the Tailteann Cup semi-final later that year against Wicklow.
The closing date for applications is Friday, September 11.
