The Cumann na mBunscol Football Finals for Limerick City Schools took place this week
THE FINALS of the Allianz Cumann namBunscol football competitions for schools in Limerick City took place on Monday across different venue.
Four finals took place in the Gaelic Grounds with three more in Na Piarsaigh. The weather conditions were ideal for flowing football and that was exactly what the boys and girls served up, watched by large and enthusiastic crowds of spectators in both venues.
Gaelscoil Chaladh an Treoigh celebrate twenty five years in existence this year and what better way to mark that than capturing the 15-a-side A football trophy for boys, the Spillane Cup.
The Castletroy Gaelscoil met their neighbours from Milford NS in the two A finals with Milford NS emerging victorious in the girls’ A final.
