Junior Hurling
We're building up to our Munster GAA Junior Club Hurling Championship semi-final against Dr Crokes - the game is fixed for Saturday, November 14th in Caherconlish, throw-in time yet to be confirmed. It would be great to see a crowd there on the day to support the lads, getting a chance to host a fixture like this is rare for us, so all support would be greatly appreciated. Ticket information will be shared on our social media sites as soon as it's available.
U21 Hurling
Two games played - we played Knockaderry last Wednesday night in Rathkeale, final score there was Caherline: 7-16 (37) Knockaderry: 0-12 (12); that was followed up on Sunday with a cracker of a game against table toppers Tory Gaels in Croom, the game ending in a draw, 1-16 a piece. That keeps Tory Gaels on top with one round of fixtures remaining; we travel to Rhebogue on Wednesday evening to play Southside Gaels at 7:30pm, while Tory Gaels will meet Knockaderry in Rathkeale that same evening.
CRECORA-MANISTER

His talent, dedication and commitment have been an inspiration to everyone and we are delighted to see him receive this well deserved recognition. Enjoy every minute of it, Cathal. A fantastic achievement and one that is richly deserved.

On Thursday night last the junior B footballers travelled to Knocklong to play Knockane in the County final. The game was played in difficult weather conditions with a strong cross field wind and showers of mist and light rain, it was the first of six finals across the weekend, both teams adapted well to the conditions, Galtee Gaels led at half time 1-6 to 0-2. Knockane came back well in the second half but Galtee held on to win by 2-8 to 1-8. John Lynch of Grannagh/Ballingarry presented the cup in memory of his late twin brother Jim to captain Liam Maunsell amid great cheering. The cheering was even greater when Andy Breedy of Galtee Gaels was announced as man of the match and was presented with the award by Paul Anglim, Secretary of the football board. This was a huge achievement for Andy, a long time servant of the club who won an under fourteen medal in 1985.

U21 Hurling
Mungret St. Pauls 1-17 Doon GAA 1-16. Mungret St. Pauls secured a hard-earned one-point victory over Doon in a closely contested encounter in Doon on Sunday, 1 November 2026, finishing with a 1-17 to 1-16 win after an exciting battle that went right down to the final minutes. The sides were evenly matched throughout the first half, with both teams trading scores in an entertaining opening period. Mungret St. Pauls had points from Mark O’Brien, Rory O’Callaghan and Cian Moloney as they worked hard to keep in touch with the home side. Doon enjoyed a spell of scoring, registering several points, but Mungret St. Pauls responded well. Mark O’Brien added another point before Killian Begley raised a green flag in the 26th minute, giving Mungret St. Pauls a valuable boost. O’Brien followed up with a point, but Doon finished the half with a score of their own to leave the sides level at the break. The second half continued in the same competitive fashion, with Doon opening the scoring before Mungret St. Pauls began to find their rhythm. Mark O’Brien was particularly influential, adding a series of important points, while Rory Gleeson also contributed two well-taken scores. Mungret St. Pauls gradually built momentum, with O’Brien continuing to lead the scoring and helping his side establish an advantage. However, Doon remained determined and refused to let Mungret St. Pauls pull away putting the backs under pressure but Conor Mangan, Brian Hassett and Sean Duff worked the ball well with the rest of the Mungret St. Pauls backs. The game took another twist when Doon found the net in the 27th minute, bringing the sides back into a tense finish. They added another point a minute later, leaving just one point between the teams. Mungret St. Pauls showed great determination in the closing stages to protect their narrow lead and see out the contest. It was a valuable result for the team after a fiercely competitive encounter, with the players showing resilience and composure when it mattered most. A great team performance and an important victory for Mungret St. Pauls which should see them into a Semi Final with one game left to play away to Bruff next Sunday.

NA PIARSAIGH
Intermediate Football
Na Piarsaigh are back at senior for 2027 following a 2-point over Galbally in Saturday’s final in Kilmallock. Huge credit must go to Con Daly for knitting the group of both players and management together following a tough 2025 season that finished in relegation from the senior ranks. He has fostered a lovely culture with the group that has encouraged many lads back down to play football. Onwards and upwards from here as we look forward to competing in the senior championship in 2027. Credit also to Con’s management team of Kevin Hartnett, John Hogan, Gerald O’Brien, Gordon Brown, Dáithí Geaney and Tom Murphy. Whatever about the gelling of a players group, it’s imperative that a management team work well together and there’s no doubt the lads got every ounce out of the players thanks to their efforts. Our focus now turns to Killenaule in the Munster Club Quarter-Final, which is fixed for Clonmel next Sunday at 1:15pm. Team: Eoghain Sherlock, Cathal McMullan, Cian Counihan, Ferdia Minihane, Christy O’Hagan(0-01), Sean Long(0-01), Adam Jordan, Ralph Leonard(0-01), Jack McCarthy(0-01), Daniel Collins, Kieran Daly(1-03, 2f 1p), James Daly, Evan Egan(0-01), Mark Hogan(1-02), Tommy Glynn.
Sub: Conor McLoughlin, Tommy Grimes, Dylan Cronin(0-01), Fionn O’Tiarnaigh, Odhran Gilroy.
U21 Hurling
Na Piarsaigh 3-21 Bruff 1-09. Our U21 hurlers got their first win of their championship campaign against Bruff on Sunday afternoon in Páirc Uí Dromgúil. We endured a tough defeat to Mungret in round 1 a fortnight ago and it was very pleasing indeed to see the lads respond in such a positive and strong manner this weekend. We had a decent spread of scores over the sixty minutes with 9 players getting in on the action. Danny Sheehan expertly buried our opening goal in the first half, having shipped a right slap in the build-up. David O’Keeffe played out the full game at midfield and managed to bag a goal and 3 points, all from play. Conor Bermingham was proving to be a handful for the Bruff defense over the course of the afternoon, providing a great puck-out option for Darragh, along with registering 2-points in the opening half. Alex Kearns ended the day with 2 long-range frees but it was his fielding that stood out in this game. He caught multiple puck-outs and 50:50 high balls, switching hands from time to time also. Shane Waters had an impeccable day on the frees once again, landing 7 over the course of the hour, along with 1-02 from play. Sam Jordan was introduced with about 10 to play and landed 2 neat points for himself. It would be remiss not to point out the solid contribution our defense had on Sunday. Tadhg Mullane put in a powerful display at wing back, while Sean O’Brien and Harry McGann both shone in the full back line. Marcus Murphy did a great job also, deputising for John O’Keeffe at full back, who is away on Erasmus. Doon will provide the opposition in the next round with the fixture to be confirmed over the coming days.
PALLASGREEN
AGM
Following the Club’s Annual General Meeting last Sunday, it was decided to adjourn proceedings and reconvene on Sunday, November 15th, as no officers were elected to fill the vacant positions. A fine attendance was present for the meeting, where members listened to the outgoing Treasurer, Justin Phelan, deliver his financial report, while the Secretary’s report, prepared by Margo Greene, was read by Assistant Secretary Gillian Deere. Chairman Aidan Foley also delivered his address, reflecting on the past year and the work carried out within the club. All three officers, Justin Phelan, Margo Greene and Aidan Foley, stepped down from their respective positions at the AGM. However, with insufficient nominations received to fill the vacancies, it was agreed that the meeting would be reconvened on Sunday, November 15th, giving members a further opportunity to put their names forward and ensure the continued administration and development of the Club. The importance of having a strong committee in place to guide the Club who celebrate its 140th year in 2027 and also with the major club development starting next year will undoubtedly be a key focus when members gather again later this month.
Ladies Football
Well done to the U19 Ladies footballers who had a convincing win over Ballylanders in Kilteely last Sunday morning. On a sun drenched November morning they ran out winners by 7-12 to 2-13 to reach the semi final. A big thank you to the Kilteely-Dromkeen GAA for the use of their pitch, which was in immaculate condition. Team; Abby Kennedy, Catriona Dillon, Katie Dillon, Isabell Riordan, Kaelin Ryan, Hannah Blackwell, Essie Dillon, Aoife Connolly, Ella Connolly, Aishling Butler, Emily Franklin, Hannah Fealy, Maebh O’Connor, Eabha Hourigan, Kathleen Ryan; Subs; Orla O’Dwyer, Andrea Connolly, Molly Dillon, Maisie O’Connor, Lucy Dillon.

Through Ireland’s Deposit Return Scheme, groups can collect plastic bottles and cans and use the deposit refunds to support this local project. Re-turn also provides practical support such as fundraising resources, and collection bins to help communities get started. The initiative offers a simple way for the local club to generate funding while encouraging sustainability and reducing litter.
