Son of Limerick SHC winner claims county hurling title in Longford

Ronan O'Halloran scored a point as the Longford Slashers claimed a 1-22 to 1-12 win over Wolfe Tones Mostrim

A BRUREE native was celebrating hurling success in Longford over the weekend as his adopted club claimed local SHC honours.
Ronan O'Halloran scored a point as the Longford Slashers claimed a 1-22 to 1-12 win over Wolfe Tones Mostrim.
O'Halloran is the son of Stephen, who scored 0-11 in the 2006 Limerick SHC final as Bruree claimed their first title in over 110 years, with their success against Patrickswell.
The younger O'Halloran helped his new club to a 14th title - and a second in a row - at Glennon Brothers Pearse Park on Sunday.
Killeedy's Cathal Mullane, who played for the Longford team over the last decade, scored 0-4, including three from play for Wolfe Tones.
