Aaron Monaghan, Garrett Lombard and Marty Rea in Druid’s Waiting for Godot
DRUID’S acclaimed production of Waiting for Godot is bound for the Lime Tree Theatre in Limerick this week, part of the theatre company’s commitment to bring “outstanding theatre to audiences” in Ireland and internationally.
Druid’s interpretation of Beckett’s masterpiece premiered at the 2016 Galway International Arts Festival, captivating both audiences and critics alike. The subsequent Unusual Rural Tour and sell-out productions at the Abbey and the USA saw further acclaim.
“The tour showed us just how much of an appetite there is for this production, so it’s great to take it to so many corners of the country, and internationally, in 2018,” said artistic director, Garry Hynes.
“It’s also fantastic to continue working on this extraordinary show with members of our ensemble and creative team who have created something very special.”
Druid are at the Lime Tree from March 7-10 with Waiting for Godot. See www.limetreetheatre.ie for more details.
