LIMERICK’S own Liam O’Brien brings his beloved holiday tradition, Crooning at Christmas, back to the city for one night only this December.

Returning to Dolan’s Warehouse on Tuesday, December 23, the show has become a staple of Limerick’s festive season since debuting in 2004. Each year, audiences flock home to enjoy O’Brien’s smooth vocals, trademark charm, and Rat Pack–inspired swing.

A proud Limerick native with an international career, O’Brien has performed everywhere from London’s Roundhouse to a sold-out Royal Albert Hall, and toured the UK with The Kings of Swing.

This Christmas he reunites with his Million Dollar Swing Band, delivering seasonal favourites including White Christmas, Let It Snow, Baby It’s Cold Outside, and more.

Speaking ahead of the season, Liam shared just how meaningful this time of year has become for him. He said: “The Christmas season of gigs and shows means more to me than I probably should admit. It’s the only time of year I get to work at home constantly and end up meeting half of Limerick—friends, family, exes, people who swear they’re related to me—the lot!

“Marking the 20th anniversary of my dad’s passing brought a lot home - a whole lifetime lived without him - and some health bumps I’ve hit in recent years have made me take stock. But nothing kicks me into gear quite like Christmas. It focuses the energy, reminds me of what’s important, and pulls me back to the people who matter,” shared Liam.

Limerick audiences can also catch O’Brien throughout the festive period at The Savoy Hotel, performing every Friday and Saturday during the final weekend of November and throughout all of December and the New Year, with a three-course dinner and Liam's signature swing.

Explaining his busy Christmas schedule Liam said: “Between my residency at the Savoy, the Christmas parties at Off The Bone, and popping up everywhere from UL right up to The Strand on Christmas Day, I’m reminded how lucky I am to share music with the community I love. “

From global stages to local traditions, Liam O’Brien continues to bring warmth, style, and festive magic to Limerick, reaffirming his place as one of Ireland’s finest crooners.

“If I survive the season with my voice, my sanity, and only a small amount of stuffing, I’ll call that a Christmas miracle," smiled Liam.
