LIMERICK is abuzz for the final days of summer, with a packed calendar of music, culture, family fun and outdoor events right across the city and county.
From big named gigs on the river to Heritage Week adventures, there’s still loads to entertain and delight before the end of summer 2025.
City centre summer events are transforming the city with free outdoor yoga, interactive dance, street performers, and busking. Highlights include the Xtreme Funfair at Arthur’s Quay Park running until Sunday, August 24.

Music lovers are spoiled for choice as Live at the Docklands brings a powerhouse line-up to Limerick’s waterfront.
This weekend kicks off with Kingfishr on Friday, August 22, followed by tribute act, Qween: It’s a Kinda Queen on Saturday, August 23. Rounding out the weekend on Sunday, August 24, are Britpop favourites Kaiser Chiefs.
TUS Gaelic Grounds will be transformed for The Big Day Out on Saturday, August 23 with Peter Andre, Whigfield, Heather Small and more. They are followed by UB40 with special guest Damien Dempsey on Sunday, August 24.
National Heritage Week runs until August 24, offering storytelling, talks and tours at landmark sites like King John’s Castle, Lough Gur and Adare Heritage Centre.
