My week with Celia Holman Lee: A ‘Fusion’ of fashion and film royalty!

My week with Celia Holman Lee: A ‘Fusion’ of fashion and film royalty!

THERE are weekends you plan, and then there are weekends that sweep you off your feet.

This past weekend was one of the latter. As a model agent with the Holman Lee Agency, I’m used to being surrounded by talent, but nothing prepared me for the magic of meeting renowned actress Ruth Negga at the All We Have Are Days film and arts festival.

The new culture festival which took place in Limerick over the bank holiday weekend was buzzing, a perfect mix of creativity and celebration.

Ruth was warm, effortlessly elegant, and so refreshingly humble that I almost forgot I was speaking to Hollywood royalty.

It is a bonus that she grew up in Limerick and spent some time here as we had that in common to chat about! What a wonderful lady. I am delighted she returned for the St Brigid's bank holiday weekend.

Later in the week I headed to a boutique in Galway to showcase wedding wear with some of the Holman Lee Agency models and Asta Lee.

Fusion in Moycullen is a boutique that has quickly become the place for avant-garde bridal and evening wear. I had models lined up to showcase some of the most fabulous designs in an intimate in-house fashion show.

Bridal fashion has evolved and Fusion has embraced the idea that a wedding dress should be as unique as the person wearing it.

Following on from the Midwest Bridal Exhibition at the end of January, it was a treat to be able to dip into the world of weddings once again.

From a chance meeting with an icon to seeing models bring wedded bliss to life on the runway, I was reminded why I do what I do.

Fashion and film are, after all, about storytelling and I do love a good story!
