Met Éireann have issued their grim weather forecast for Halloween night as thousands of children go trick or treating around the country.
While the earlier part of the day will see sunny spells, the weather is likely to take a horror turn in the evening.
Met Éireann said: "On Friday morning, rain will spread northeastwards and will mainly affect the eastern half of the country. It will clear to the east in the afternoon with sunny spells and showers following. Highest temperatures of 11 to 14 degrees with moderate to fresh southerly winds.
"Wet and cloudy with showery spells of rain spreading from the southwest [on Friday night], and affecting parts of the south and east at first.

"Later on, further spells of rain will feed in from the west. There is a slight chance of isolated hail and lightning. Misty in places too. Lowest temperatures of 5 to 7 degrees, in light to moderate south to southwest winds."
Met Éireann's national outlook for the next few says is "unsettled with low pressure dominating the weather bringing wet conditions."
