ALERT: Status Yellow ice warning issued for Ireland

Met Éireann have issued a Status Yellow low temperature and ice warning across the country. 

Met Éireann have warned that temperatures will be "very cold with widespread frost and ice as temperatures fall to -3 degrees or below in many areas."

Potential impacts include hazardous travelling conditions and animal welfare issues.

The warning remains in place from 6pm Thursday, January 2 to 11am, Friday, January 3.
