A Status Yellow rain warning is in place for county Clare from this Monday evening onwards.
Weather will become overcast this afternoon with outbreaks of rain beginning to move in from the Atlantic, turning heavy and persistent by evening with the chance of spot flooding.
Wet and windy overnight with outbreaks of heavy rain bringing the possibility of localised flooding and difficult travelling conditions, while outdoor events may be impacted.
The warning from Met Éireaan is in place from 10pm this Monday evening, August 26, until 10am Tuesday morning
A wet and blustery start on Tuesday with a band of rain pushing gradually eastwards over the province with the continued chance of spot flooding.
A clearance to sunny spells and isolated showers will follow from the west during the morning and early afternoon. Maximum temperatures of 18 to 20 degrees in fresh southerly breezes, strong at the coast.
