MET Éireann is warning that spot flooding and difficult driving conditions in Limerick and across the country this Tuesday with heavy downpours and thunderstorms likely.
The forecaster has issued a status yellow weather warning for 18 counties - Limerick, Monaghan, Cork, Tipperary Waterford and all of Leinster.
The warning, which was issued shortly before 10am remains valid until 9pm.

According to Met Éireann, potential impacts include difficult travelling conditions, spot flooding and poor visibility.
In its latest forecast, it will be cloudy on Tuesday night with heavy showers and isolated thunderstorms continuing at first.

However, the showers will ease and become less frequent overnight. Lowest temperatures of 7 to 11 degrees in light northwesterly winds.
