FREQUENT showers can be expected in most places this Friday. According to Met Éireann, Some will be heavy and possibly thundery. Highest daytime temperatures of 11 to 14 degrees in moderate southeasterly winds, fresher along coasts.

Showers will persist overnight, heavy and possibly thundery in places.

Lowest temperatures of 6 to 9 degrees in light southeast breezes.

NATIONAL OUTLOOK

SATURDAY: Further scattered heavy showers with some sunny spells. Highest temperatures of 11 to 13 degrees in light southeast breezes.

SATURDAY NIGHT: Showers will continue for a time overnight, followed with long clear spells. Lowest temperatures of 5 to 9 degrees with light to moderate southeast winds.

SUNDAY: More organised bands of heavy persistent rain will move in across the country. Highest temperatures of 9 to 12 degrees in variable winds, fresh in places.

BANK HOLIDAY MONDAY: Further falls of showers or rain interspersed with sunny spells. Highest temperatures of 7 to 13 degrees, cooler in northern parts, with light to moderate east to southeast winds.

Current indications suggest that unsettled conditions will continue through next week with rain and showers at times.
