Treacherous driving conditions cause delays in Limerick as Storm Agnes arrives

Motorists are being urged to exercise caution as Storm Agnes makes its way over the country

THERE are several reports of major traffic delays across Limerick city and county this Wednesday morning as Storm Agnes passes across Ireland.

A status yellow wind warning is place for all of Munster until Midnight as people are being warned of fallen trees and difficult driving conditions.

According to several motorists who have contacted Limerick Live, movement is slow on most routes coming into the city including Ennis Road, Ballysimon Road, Roxboro Road, Condell Road and Kilmallock Road (pictured below).

One commuter said they have been stuck in traffic for over half-an-hour on the Dock Road on the way into the city with little to no movement.

Gardai have been driving up and down in a hope to shift traffic as it builds up on the road.
