There’s a Limerick woman flying the flag on national TV this week as The 2 Johnnies Late Night Lock In returns for its third series on RTÉ2.

Aisling Magner from Killeedy travelled up to Meath with eleven others from the parish to film the first episode where she’ll be representing the Treaty County in The Parish Quiz, taking on Kildare native Tadgh Furlong’s from Nurney.

“It was a brilliant night, full of craic and devilment. I was just so delighted to get the chance to represent my beloved Killeedy, wear the blue and white, and show off the madness that is our little parish,” said Aisling.

"The 2 Johnnies are pros at showcasing rural Ireland in all its glory and it's so refreshing to see it being shown on national television in such a positive light, I'm thrilled to have had a small role in that."

The hit comedy entertainment show promises another season of unfiltered Irish humour, live music, celebrity guests and pure pub mayhem. Series three kicks off with appearances from jockey Davy Russell, comedian Russell Kane, and newly crowned Rose of Tralee, Katelyn Cummins.

Johnny B and Johnny Smacks said fans can expect “more craic, more chaos, and more people embarrassing themselves on national TV, including us.”

Viewers can also expect games, stand-up, and of course the return of the now-famous Parish Quiz , with a trip to Las Vegas or a bag of spuds up for grabs will it be Killeedy or Nurney that takes the win?

The 2 Johnnies Late Night Lock In airs Thursday's at 9:35pm on RTÉ2 and RTÉ Player.
