TREATY United recorded their first win of the new SSE Airtricity Women's Premier Division season after securing a 3-0 victory over Waterford at the Markets Field on Saturday afternoon.

Ciara Breslin bagged a brace of goals for Treaty who bounced back from their opening weekend loss to Shelboure in impressive fashion. The win has moved Treaty up to sixth place in the league table with Galway United the only side to boast a 100% record after two series of fixtures.

Breslin's neat finish on the stroke of half-time gave the home side a 1-0 interval lead over their Munster rivals.

The same player then pounced on a rebound in the 73rd minute to double the Laurie Ryan-managed Treaty side's advantage.

Kate Jones added a third with a looping header in the 76th minute to seal victory for the home side.
