Limerick teenager Linnane, who has played for the Treaty United U-17 side, was thrusted into the limelight when starting goalkeeper Liisa Tuomi picked up an injury in the warm up before the Shannonsiders clash with Bohemians.

It was a debut to remember for Linnane who pulled off a fine stop early on into the game to announce her arrival.

Ciara Breslin gave Treaty the lead in the 69th minute, her long range effort finding the back of Rachael Kelly's net, after neat build-up play from Katie Lawlee.

Linnane, from Caherdavin, was denied the perfect debut when Bohemians managed to grab an equaliser in the 91st minute through Róisín McGovern.

Linnane started her playing career at Caherdavin Celtic where her father played and her two brothers currently play, all as goalkeepers.

She moved to Aisling Annacotty at 11 as a midfielder and moved into her goalkeeping role at age 13 in 2022. She was chosen for the Gaynor Cup squad in 2023 but couldn't play due to a clerical issue.

She won multiple league and cup titles from U14s up to senior with Aisling Annacotty including playing in a senior cup final in 2024 in the Markets Field at the age of 14. Ruby has represented Limerick County at U15 and U16 level.
Ruby joined Treaty United WU17s in January of this year although she had been training on occasions with the club last year.
She saved 4 penalties in a penalty shoot-out versus Shamrock Rovers in the quarter-final of the WU19 Cup in July. Ruby turned 16 a week before her Treaty United debut last Saturday.
She collected her Junior Cert results on Wednesday in what has been a rollercoaster week for the 16-year-old.
Treaty will be hoping to finish their record-breaking season on a high when they travel to the RSC to face Waterford.

Kick-off on Saturday is at 4.30pm and the game will be broadcast live on LOITV.
