The Shannonsiders travel to the Carlisle Grounds knowing that they will need to be at their best if they are to get a result against Paul Heffernan's side, who currently sit third in the League of Ireland First Division table, level on points with second-place Cobh Ramblers.
Treaty come into the game off the back of a spirited comeback display against Athlone Town last week.
Tommy Barrett's charges found themselves two goals down in Lissywoolen last Friday night after goals from Jason Oyenuga and Giddeon Tetteh gave the Midlanders a 2-0 lead. Barrett had said going into the game that there are no easy games in the First Division and that proved to be the case in Westmeath.
Treaty were able to bounce back with goals from new signings Patrick Ferry and Brian Cunnigham either side of half-time to secure a draw. The instant impact from the new attackers is something that pleased Barrett and the management team.
Despite dropping from fourth to fifth after their draw, that result keeps Treaty in the promotion play-off positions. UCD leapfrogged the Limerick side with their win over 10-man Kerry FC in Tralee last Friday.
Treaty will look to get back to winning ways against Bray on tonight and although they will expect a stern test from ‘The Seagulls’ away from home, the Limerick-based side can look to last month's performance against Bray as a blueprint on how to take all three points.
The in-form Lee Devitt scored a brace to give Tommy Barrett's side a 2-1 win at the Markets Field. Manager Barrett is acutely aware of the challenge that both he and his side will face on tonight.
The Limerick native is hopeful that his side will bring the positives from last week's match against Athlone into their clash with Bray.
“It was great for the two boys (Ferry and Cunningham), they've started really well, they made a great impact off the bench."
“They're still trying to get up to the speed of things fitness wise, Patrick has been out for a while and Brian hasn't really played at this level before, having just come from 20's so they're getting up to speed still.”
“They've made a big impact since they've come in so we're really happy with them.”
Barrett has been impressed by how good their opponents have been this season.
“They're a very good side, they've done really well this year. They have some real good players and they've done really well because it's a young team that they have."
“They have a really good attacking threat, I think they have scored in every game that they have played in so we know how good they are going forward, they are probably the form team in the league at the moment alongside UCD."
“They will be certainly very difficult to beat but it all depends on the day, if the momentum goes with us, we'll hope to win it and if it doesn't, we'll hope to get a draw out of it.”
Barrett says that concentration will be key if his side are to get anything out of tonight's clash.
“It's vitally important that we're concentrated for the full 90 minutes because if we are, we are as good as anyone,” he said.
As the league enters its 'business end' of the season, Barrett says he is happy with how his side have performed.
“We're happy, given the amount of goals we've scored and how little we have conceded, we should have more points on the board for sure but once you're in and around the play-offs, you're always in a decent spot.”
After tonight's trip to Bray, Treaty United host Kerry FC at the Markets Field in a big Munster derby on Bank Holiday Monday, August 4 with a 5pm kick-off.
