PROMOTION-CHASING Treaty United return to action in the SSE Airtricity League First Division this Friday night when hosting Munster rivals Cobh Ramblers in a crucial Munster derby fixture, 7.45pm kick-off.

Tommy Barrett’s Treaty side shared the points in a frustrating 1-1 stalemate away to UCD on Friday night last in the First Division.

Lee Devitt’s 50th minute goal had the Markets Field-based side looking good for the three points, after they played the entire second half with an extra man following Killian Callioce’s straight red card just after the restart.

However, Adam Brennan’s equaliser eight minutes from time consigned Treaty to a fourth game without a win.

The result sees Treaty sit in fourth place in the First Division table, level on points with fifth-placed UCD, but 10 points adrift of third-placed Bray Wanderers after 22 series of fixtures.

Friday's opponents Cobh Ramblers sit in a lofty second-place in the league table, 15 points ahead of Treaty United.

Following Friday night's Munster derby fixture, Treaty will switch their focus to the FAI Cup and a glamour second round meeting with Premier Division Derry City on Friday, July 18 at the Markets Field, 7.45pm.
