TREATY United will look to get their SSE Airtricity League First Division campaign back on track this Friday when making the trip to the UCD Bowl to face UCD, 7.45pm, live on LOI TV.

Treaty fell to a last gasp 1-0 defeat to Wexford FC at the Markets Field last time out, a result which saw Tommy Barrett's charges slip down to fourth place in the table.

Barrett felt the final scoreline wasn’t a true reflection of the game.

“I thought we were the better team,” Barrett said afterwards. “But there’s no point in being the better team if you’re going to lose like that. It’s all about momentum and when you have momentum in the game, you have to take it by the scruff of the neck and win it. And if you can’t win it, you have to get a point at least.”

It’s the second time this season that Treaty have suffered a last-gasp defeat having conceded three late goals to Cobh Ramblers on the opening night. However, Treaty recovered by taking seven points from their next three games.

They’ll be hoping to replicate the same levels of resilience in the coming weeks, starting with Friday's trip to UCD. Barrett said: “Yes, I believe we can win every game that we play in. That doesn’t mean we’re going to win everyone but certainly we can get something up in UCD whether it’s a draw or a win. But we’ll be going for the win.”
