TREATY United return to action in the SSE Airtricity League First Division tonight, Monday, when facing Munster rivals Cobh Ramblers at St Colman's Park, 7.45pm.

Treaty suffered a frustrating 2-1 last-gasp league defeat to Athlone Town at the Markets Field on Friday night.

Treaty were disappointed by a decision early in the second half where goalkeeper Corey Chambers was sent off. Manager Tommy Barrett felt it had a big bearing on the result.

“We were the better team, the referee’s decision changed the game,” said Barrett.

“I don’t think it’s a sending off.

“I actually don’t think it’s even outside the box. It’s very disappointing.”

Attention now turns to Monday night’s away trip to East Cork to face Cobh Ramblers. Six changes were made to the starting line-up for the Athlone game and manager Barrett said they’ll approach the Cobh game in similar fashion given the short turnaround.

“We’ll mix it up, the lads put in a hard slog tonight. We’ll try our best and we’ll put a different team out and give some young lads a chance and see how we go.”
