Treaty Women gain vital win ahead of two week break

TREATY United women's side gained a vital 2-0 victory over DRL Waves in the SSE Airtricity Women's Premier Division on Saturday afternoon.

New signing Danielle Steer and Delana Friesen netted goals for Treaty in what was a crucial win for Domonic Foley's side in Belfield after a run of four defeats.

This is Treaty's second time beating DRL Waves in the SSE Airtricity Women's Premier Division this season, with the result keeping them in ninth place on the table, four points clear of DLR.

The women's side will now have a weekend off before hosting Wexford FC at the Markets Field on Saturday, July 27 at 5pm.

he SSE Airtricity Women's Premier Division will then take another weekend's break as the FAI Cup kicks into action. Treaty United women's side will face Ferns United at home on the Saturday of the August Bank Holiday weekend in the opening round of the FAI Cup.
