Teen injured in Limerick gun attack

A TEENAGER is in hospital after a shooting which took place in Limerick.

Gardai have launched a probe into the circumstances around the discharge of a firearm which occurred at Hyde Road in Ballinacurra Weston.

Officers were called to the scene at around 8pm on Sunday night.

One man, aged in his late teens, was injured following the incident.

He was taken to University Hospital Limerick where his condition remains stable.

Investigations are ongoing.
