Three players have been shortlisted for the prestigious Munster Rugby Player of the Year accolade
MUNSTER have announced a short-list of three players who are in line to scoop the province's prestigious Munster Rugby Player of the Year Award next week.
The 2019 Munster Rugby Awards take place on Tuesday next, April 23, at the University Concert Hall in Limerick with the nominations for Munster Rugby Player of the Year now finalised.
The Player of the Year nominees are Tadhg Beirne, Joey Carbery and Peter O’Mahony – with the trio nominated by their fellow team-mates.
The overall winner will be decided by a public vote.
Previous winners of the prestigious accolade include last year’s winner Keith Earls, Tyler Bleyendaal, two-time recipient CJ Stander, Conor Murray, Tommy O’Donnell, Donnacha Ryan, James Coughlan, Ronan O’Gara, Mick O’Driscoll, David Wallace and John Hayes.
In total, eleven diverse categories will be honoured in celebrating the best of Professional and Domestic rugby within the province.
Those who take part in the vote are in with a chance of winning a pair of tickets to the Munster Rugby Awards night which take place at University Concert Hall on Tuesday April 23, at 8pm.
The winner will also receive a Munster Rugby signed team photo, a signed rugby ball, plus a pair of tickets to Munster v Connacht on Saturday, April 27, at Thomond Park at 7.35pm.
