Munster look a good bet to reach the Heineken Champions Cup final this season
MANY rugby fans regard it as the best weekend of the year - this Saturday and Sunday when the quarter-finals of the Heineken Champions Cup are staged.
The dust has hardly settled on a disappointing Six Nations campaign for Ireland, but Munster's Irish internationals, not involved in last weekend's bonus point win over Zebre in the Guinness PRO14 at Thomond Park, don the red jersey again this Saturday for a crucial Champions Cup date with Edinburgh at Murrayfield, 12.45pm.
The timing of this weekend's last eigth clash in the Scottish capital means that it will be the first time that this particular Munster XV will have played together since the final round of regular season pool fixtures in the Champions Cup in January.
It is imperative from a Munster point of view that the side hit the ground running this wekeend.
Eighteen- time quarter-finalists Munster are 4/7 favourites with the bookes' to win on Saturday and reach another European semi-final. It's a short price, but Munster have huge experience.
A more attractive bet is the 11/4 on offer about Munster reaching the Champions Cup final. They would have to beat Saracens or Glasgow to do so, but are capable of doing so next month.
