Limerick U-20 hurling manager Paul Beary finalises his backroom team

Limerick U-20 hurling manager Paul Beary finalises his backroom team

Paul Beary with Mark Lyons

PAUL Beary has finalised his Limerick U-20 hurling management team.

Just before Christmas, Beary was confirmed for the Limerick role - weeks after he parted ways with Munster club finalists Na Piarsaigh.

Beary is to serve a two year term as Limerick U-20 manager.

Kilmallock man Mark Lyons is to act as Strength and Conditioning Coach.

Ger Downes, Knockaderry, is to be a selector along the duo. A former Limerick GAA full-time coach Downes has been coach to Kilmallock and South Liberties club teams in recent seasons in the Limerick SHC.

The full management team was rubber-stamped at this week's February County Board meeting in Adare's Woodlands House Hotel.

Beary, Lyons and Downes all previously worked together in the Limerick senior hurling management team of TJ Ryan.

Joe Hannon of Adare is to act as Liaison Officer.

Limerick are away to Cork in the Munster U-20 hurling championship quarter final on July 3. A victory would secure a home semi final against Clare one week later.
