LIMERICK and Kilkenny's Allianz Hurling League tie on Sunday will be live on TG4.
The round three Division 1A clash between the All-Ireland SHC winners and the reigning league champions takes place in Nowlan Park at 2pm.
Limerick's first journey to Kilkenny for a league game since 2009, will be the show piece fixture for TG4 on Sunday. The Limerick-Kilkenny game will be followed by deferred coverage of Wexford v Tipperary and Galway v Dublin.
Unbeaten Limerick go to Kilkenny in the knowledge that victory over Brian Cody’s home side would see the men in green put one foot in the knockout stages ahead of the two remaining rounds of action.
Sunday will be Limerick’s first time back in Kilkenny since the 2017 All-Ireland Qualifier loss to the ‘Cats’ but John Kiely’s men avenged that defeat last Summer with a first championship win over the men in black and amber since 1973.
But it’s over 20 years since Limerick’s last competitive victory over the home side in Kilkenny – that 1-17 to 0-10 win was on August 24, 1997 in a league semi final.
Limerick's round one league game with Wexford was shown deferred on TG4, while the round two tie with Tipperary was live on RTE and eir Sport.
After this Sunday, Limerick entertain Cork in the Gaelic Grounds in round four on Sunday February 24 at 2.30.
