Tiger Woods involved in car crash in Florida – reports

Tiger Woods has been involved in a car crash in Florida, according to reports in the United States.

The incident reportedly occurred in Jupiter Island in the south east of the state.

No details about the crash or of Woods’ condition have yet been given, but police are said to be investigating.

The Press Association has contacted the Martin County Sheriff’s Office for confirmation.

The reported accident comes after Woods, 50, returned to competitive action for the first time in over a year on the final night of play in the indoor TGL competition on Tuesday.

The 15-time major winner said afterwards that he hoped he would be fit enough to play at the Masters next month.

Woods underwent emergency surgery after suffering multiple leg injuries following a serious car accident in February 2021.

He was sidelined for 15 months and his appearances since have been sporadic due to numerous other injury setbacks.
