Dani Olmo at the double as Barcelona hit back to beat Alaves

Dani Olmo struck twice as Barcelona came from behind to win 3-1 at home against Alaves and leapfrog Real Madrid into top spot in LaLiga.

Olmo scored his first league goal since September, after Lamine Yamal had cancelled out Pablo Ibanez’s early opener for Alaves, and the Spain forward wrapped up Barca’s fourth straight league win with his second in added time.

Hansi Flick’s side marked their 126th anniversary with victory in their second game back at the Nou Camp and moved two points clear of Real, who can regain their place at the summit with victory at Girona on Sunday.

In the Bundesliga, Bayern Munich moved eight points clear at the top as Luis Diaz and Chelsea loanee Nicolas Jackson scored stoppage-time goals to seal a 3-1 home win against St Pauli.

Raphael Guerreiro cancelled out Andreas Hountondji’s early opener for St Pauli and Bayern – for whom Harry Kane, Lennart Karl and Tom Bischof all hit the woodwork – bounced back from their first defeat of the season in midweek against Arsenal in the Champions League.

Borussia Dortmund leapfrogged Bayer Leverkusen into third place after a 2-1 win at the BayArena, with goals from Aaron Anselmino and Karim Adeyemi before Christian Kofane’s late effort for the hosts.

Hoffenheim moved up to fourth place with a fifth win in six league games, 3-0 at home against Augsburg, and Heidenheim secured their first away win of the season, beating Union Berlin 2-1 to climb off the foot of the table.

Said El Mala’s goal in added time earned Cologne a 1-1 draw at Werder Bremen, who had Niklas Stark sent off just before the final whistle.

In Serie A, Rafael Leao scored the only goal as AC Milan beat Lazio 1-0 at the San Siro to return to the top of the table and extend their unbeaten run in all competitions to 13 matches.

Juventus closed the gap on the top six to a single point as they extended their unbeaten league run to five matches thanks to Kenan Yildiz’s double in a 2-1 home win against Cagliari.

Verona remain winless in all competitions this season after a 2-1 defeat at Genoa and Udinese climbed into the top half of the table with a 2-0 win at Parma.

Takumi Minamino’s solitary strike earned Monaco a 1-0 home win against Ligue 1 leaders Paris St Germain, who slipped to their first league defeat since September and second of the season.

PSG are a point above Marseille, who were denied top spot by Santiago Hidalgo’s stoppage-time equaliser for Toulouse in a 2-2 draw, while Paris were held 1-1 at home by bottom club Auxerre.
