England new boy Alex Scott has been left out of the squad for Thursday’s World Cup qualifier against Serbia.
The 22-year-old Bournemouth midfielder helped the country win the Under-21 European Championship in the summer and saw his fine form rewarded with a maiden senior call-up.
Thomas Tuchel has selected Scott for the double-header against Serbia and Albania, but has left him out of the 23-man squad for Thursday’s qualifier against the former at Wembley.
Marc Guehi, who has been unable to train due to a foot complaint, also misses out.
Morgan Rogers is reportedly set to start in the number 10 role ahead of returning stars Jude Bellingham and Phil Foden.
England are already assured of progress heading into the Serbia fixture and Sunday’s trip to Albania.
