Quarter-finals of Basketball Ireland National Cup to take place this weekend

THE QUARTER-FINALS of the Basketball Ireland National Cup takes place this weekend, with three Limerick teams in action. 

In the President's mens National Cup both Limerick Sport Eagles and Limerick Celtics will be hoping to book a spot in the semi-finals.

Limerick Sport Eagles received a bye in the first round of the cup and now face SETU Carlow in the quarter-finals this Sunday in Carlow at 1:00pm. 

SETU Carlow had an impressive first round win against Scotts Lakers Killarney and will be extremely tough to beat on their home court. 

Limerick Celtics men's team beat SETU Waterford in the first round of the President's cup on a scoreline of 101-93 and will play Moy Tolka Rovers in the Carroll Arena in Dublin on Saturday at 8:15pm. 

In the women's division one National Cup, Limerick Celtics will compete against Templeogue at home on Sunday at 4:15pm. 

Celtics beat local rivals Limerick Sport Huskies in the opening round of the cup 94-88.
