BOTH LIMERICK Celtics teams are through to the next round of the National Cup after an extremely successful weekend.
Limerick Celtics women's team were up against local rivals in Limerick Sport Huskies in what was one of the most competitive games across the InsureMyHouse.ie Women's Division one National Cup.
The entire game was back and fourth till the final quarter were Limerick Celtics were able to pull away and get the 94-88 victory.
Samantha Coleman and Lucy Devoy were Celtics top scorers with 32 and 20 points each with Scout Frame and Aisling McCann with 20 points each for Limerick Sport Huskies.
Limerick Celtics will now face Templeogue in the next round of the Cup.
On the men's side Limerick Sport Eagles got a bye into the next round while Limerick Celtic's men's team powered past SETU Waterford with a 101-93 victory.
It was an all round team performance with seven of Celtic's players scoring over ten points each.
Vikings struggled to score in the second-quarter which would ultimately be their undoing in the game.
Limerick Sport Eagles will now face SETU Carlow in the quarter finals of the President's National Cup, while Limerick Celtics go up against Moy Tolka Rovers.
