Monagea and Oola in the senior ladies football semi-final
THE FINALS in both the Limerick ladies football and camogie championships have been confirmed.
The Limerick ladies football championship finals will take place in the TUS Gaelic Grounds this Sunday, October 8.Senior title holders Monegea will be looking to become back-to-back champions as they face a repeat of last year's final against St Ailbes, with kick-off at 3:00pm.
Between them, they have won each of the last five titles on offer as they meet in the final for the fourth time since 2018.
Monagea had a comfortable 0-10 to 0-03 win over Oola in the semi's, while St.Ailbes got the better of Ballylanders by four points to secure their spot.
The intermediate championship will also take place this Sunday, with Galtee Gaels and Murroe Boher going up against each other at 1:00pm.
Galtee Gaels have had a tough run into this final after their semi-final against Mungret St Pauls went into extra time.Murroe Boher had an easy 2-08 to 0-06 win against Knockainey to book their spot in the intermediate final.
Meanwhile the final of each camogie grade from senior down to junior will take place on Sunday, October 15.
In this year's senior championship nine teams have been whittled down to the final two. Newcastle West were the first team to book their spot in the senior A final after a 3-15 to 0-12 victory over Bruff in the semi's.They will face Killeedy in the senior championship final after they beat Ahane by four points.
To distinguish who gets third and fourth in the senior rankings there will also be a senior B final this year. Adare will face Na Piarsaigh in this years final.
Due to loosing in the semi-final's and two teams being relegated out of the senior competition this year, Granagh Ballingarry and Crecora will play off against each other in the second relegation game of the year.
In the intermediate ranks Monaleen got the better of Templeglantine on a scoreline of 1-16 to 1-09 to book their spot in the final, while Croagh Kilfinny narrowly beat Galbally by one point to finalise the Intermediate final.
Murroe Boher has an imposing 6-11 to 0-06 victory over Newcastle West, which forces the latter down into junior A next season.
Tournafulla will play off against Monaleen in the junior B cup final after wins against Granagh Ballingarry and Knockaderry in the semi-finals.
In the junior B plate competition, Bruff will be favourites going into the final after their dominant 6-11 to 0-05 win against Adare.
Bruff will meet Kilmallock in the plate final after their win against Ahane over the weekend.
