TWO Munster Rugby players have been released back to the province from the Ireland squad ahead of Saturday's World Cup warm-up game with England at the Aviva Stadium, 5.30pm.

Munster winger Calvin Nash and back-row Gavin Coombes are among five players who are returning to the provinces to continue their pre-season training programmes.

Limerick man Nash won his first international cap for Ireland against Italy in Dublin earlier this month. He was selected on the Emerging Ireland tour to South Africa at the start of last season and then lined out for Ireland A against the All Blacks XV in November.

The other three players released from Andy farrell's squad are Caolin Blade, Jamie Osborne and Kieran Treadwell.

With Munster prop Jeremy Loughman having been added to the Ireland squad this week, this means that there are now 38 players in the Ireland training squad.

The final 33-man Ireland squad for Rugby World Cup 2023 will be announced on Monday, August 28.

Meanwhile, it has been confirmed that Stade Toulousain coaches Jerome Kaino, Clement Poitrenaud and Virgile Lacombe have been named among the Barbarians men’s coaching team for the clash against Munster at Thomond Park on Saturday, September 30, 4.30pm.

It will be the first-ever meeting between the Munster Men and the Barbarians and it will form part of a double-header with the Munster women.

The Limerick venue is set for a festival of rugby with the Munster Women kicking the action off against the Barbarians Women at 2pm with the men’s game starting at 4.30pm.
