Inverness extended their winning run in the cinch Championship to five games by beating bottom side Cove Rangers 2-1 at Balmoral Stadium.
Caley Thistle came closest to breaking the first-half deadlock on the half-hour mark but Kyle Gourlay managed to tip Billy Mckay’s flicked effort from Cameron Harper’s free-kick onto the bar.
Cove, now without a win in 10 matches, took the lead 11 minutes after half-time through Iain Vigurs, who fired home a low free-kick into the bottom corner.
Inverness equalised from the spot through Mckay, who slotted home his penalty after Aaron Doran had been clipped by Morgyn Neill in the box.
The visitors completed the comeback five minutes later when Harper finished well from the edge of the box to maintain their play-off push.
