OVER 10,000 third-level students were in attendance as Billy Lee brought his tally for the fledgling season to four winners when partnering the Willie McCreery-trained All Lies Ahead to take the seven-furlong handicap at Leopardstown last Wednesday.

Lee gave the Rathbride trainer his second winner of the season when getting the 100/30 favourite home by a neck from the Michael Grassick-trained 9/2 chance Loingseoir.

A 1,000 Guineas trial might be on the cards for You Send Me which scored an impressive success under Mark Enright in the seven-furlong fillies’ maiden at Cork on Saturday. Trained by Fozzy Stack, the well-backed 11/4 chance led a furlong from the finish and impressed when beating the Adrian Murray-trained Beauty Bella by three and a half lengths.

Athea trainer Eoin McCarthy won the mares’ maiden hurdle at Cork on Easter Sunday with the Richie Deegan-ridden All About Lucy. Owned by John Sayers, the 13/2 chance overcame a slow jump at the final flight to beat the Michael Kennedy-trained Roccos Inspiration by half a length.
