TO MARK the 50th anniversary of the opening of Limerick's Jackman Park, a special fixture will be played at the soccer venue next month.

It is 50 years this year since Jackman Park, located at Limerick's Carey Road, was officially opened and since then, there has  been a number of improvements and upgrades to the grounds, pitch, dressing room and building. Most recently, new floodlights and a new electric scoreboard have been installed at the soccer venue.

To celebrate the 50th anniversary of Jackman Park, a Limerick District League selection will play SSE Airtricity League First Division Treaty United at the venue on Friday February 10. The kick-off time of the game will be confirmed closer to the date.
All leagues in the LDL will be represented in this squad. Details of the squad to be chosen will be disclosed in the coming weeks.
The LDL squad will be managed by Declan Considine, Daithi O Donoghue and Keith Kerley.
The game will be part of Treaty United's preparations for the new First Division season.
