St Munchin's seek Junior Schools Cup glory against CBC Cork

ST MUNCHIN'S College are looking to brush off last week's senior disappointment as they take on CBC, Cork in the Munster Schools Junior Cup final on Wednesday at 1.30pm.

In the Pinergy Senior Schools Cup final last week, Munchin's were overcome by a rampant Presentation Brothers College 51-3.

The Limerick school return to Virgin Media Park this afternoon where it is Christian Brothers College who provide the opposition.

The James O’Neill-coached side reached the final after scoring six tries in an impressive 44-8 win over Bandon Grammar in Thomond Park earlier this month.

Cian Angley, Caleb Crofton O’Riordan, Oscar Madden (2) and Jack Goode got the tries in that impressive attacking display.

The Corbally side also recorded wins over Rockwell, Crescent College Comprehensive, PBC and Glenstal Abbey en route to the decider.

ST MUNCHIN’S team in semi-final win: Oscar Madden, Alex O’Brien, Dara Giltenane, Cian Angley, Rory Jones, Jack Goode, Liam Kiely; Hamza Awaga, Caleb Crafton O’Riordan, Elliot Stokes, Phelim Hennelly, Darren Meaney, Aaron Cowhey, Charlie Doran, Anluan White.

Replacements: Noel O’Connor, Paraic Landers, Tristan Eales, Dean Siebert, Ashton Kenny, Conor Tobin, Paddy Ryan, Caolan Pepper.
