Opening round fixtures for Limerick sides in Munster Schools Senior and Junior Cups

This season’s Pinergy Munster Schools’ Boys Senior Cup knock-out action will kick off in the week of January 12

THIS season’s Pinergy Munster Schools’ Boys Senior Cup knock-out action, featuring a number of Limerick schools will kick off in the week of January 12.

Limerick side Glenstal Abbey will host the newly qualified Kinsale Community School, while local rivals Ardscoil Rís will face Castletroy College in a mouth-watering Limerick derby clash.

Round two of the knock-out stages of the Pinergy Munster Schools’ Boys Senior Cup will see two of the Semi-Final qualifiers kick off as Crescent College Comprehensive meet St. Munchin’s College in another eagerly-awaited all-Limerick fixture.

In the second Semi-Final qualifier, 2024 champions Presentation Brothers College will face Bandon Grammar School in Virgin Media Park.

Elsewhere in round two, Christian Brothers College, of Cork, will face the winner of Glenstal Abbey v Kinsale Community School in the first Quarter Final eliminator.

Meanwhile, Rockwell College, of Tipperary, will take on either Ardscoil Rís or Casltetroy College in their eliminator. All dates and kick off times will be confirmed in due course.

Meanwhile, in the Munster Schools Boys Junior Cup, the opening fixtures have also been confirmed with action kicking off the week of January 19.

In Round One of the Junior Cup competition, Limerick's Crescent College Comprehensive will entertain Kinsale Community School in Limerick, while in the second game of the day Castletroy College will meet local rivals Glenstal Abbey.

Round Two, once again, sees the Semi Final qualifiers kick off as Christian Brothers College, of Cork, face last season’s champions Bandon Grammar School in Virgin Media Park.

Corbally's St Munchin’s College will take on Rockwell College in the second semi -final qualifier.

In the quarter-final eliminators, Limerick's Ardscoil Rís will meet the winners of Crescent College and Kinsale CS, while in the second qualifier Presentation Brothers College will go head to head with Castletroy College or Glenstal Abbey. Fixtures to be confirmed in due course.
