In Pictures: Free-scoring Shannon boost survival hopes with big win over Dublin University

SHANNON'S hopes of staying in Division 1A of the All-Ireland League (AIL) received a huge boost when they beat Dublin University 43-17 at Thomond Park's back pitch last Saturday.

The win cuts the gap to the team immediately ahead of them in the table, UCD, to just two points. Shannon currently sit in second bottom place and in the relegation play-off position.

Tries from Jordan Prenderville (2), Lee Nicholas, Luke Rigney, Dan Hurley and Daniel Okeke, as well as a penalty try sent Shannon to a comfortable victory.

Limerick Leader / Leader Liver photographer, Kieran Ryan-Benson, was on hand to capture all the colour and the action of what was a great day for The Parish.
